Karate club members app
Description
AK Family Karate and Fitness, based in and around Wetherby are a family friendly karate club for ages 6 upwards.
Prior to their app, AK Karate had a website where they hosted training videos in a secure members area, however this had a single password to login so when members left the club they could still access the content. Communication was also different with every member, ranging from text messages, emails, social media etc.
We built the first AK Karate app in 2019. This allowed them to remove the videos from the website and host them in a secure members area on the app, which was far easier to control access. An additional benefit was being able to communicate via push messages to the app. A great example being when Covid hit and clubs had to close. AK Karate were able to move classes to Zoom and message all members with the login details. The very first Zoom class saw over 170 members all training in the own homes. This was key to the survival of AK Karate during such a difficult time.
